What tacrolimus is used for

Tacrolimus ointment is used to treat moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) when other treatments have not worked or are not suitable.
It helps to reduce inflammation and itching by suppressing the immune response in the skin.

Your doctor may prescribe tacrolimus ointment for another reason—if so, follow their advice.
